What health and wellness coaching is (and isn't)

Health and wellness coaching is a partnership. A coach helps you get clear on what you want, understand what's getting in the way, and take small, steady steps toward change. You stay in the driver's seat; the coach helps you steer.

What a coach does

A coach listens closely, asks questions that help you think, and helps you turn big goals into specific actions. Between sessions, tools like journaling help you notice patterns and celebrate progress.

What a coach doesn't do

Coaches don't diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions, and coaching isn't a substitute for therapy. A good coach knows when to recommend another professional, and is glad to work alongside your doctor or counselor.

Why work with a coach in training?

Coaches in training bring energy, current knowledge, and structured guidance, and working with them often costs less. You get support, and they gain the experience they need to grow.
