Journaling for growth: five minutes a day
You don't need to write pages. A few honest lines a day can show you what's working, what's in the way, and how far you've come.
A five-minute template
- Today I'm feeling… one or two words is enough.
- One step I took toward my goal… however small.
- What got in the way… without judging yourself.
- Tomorrow I'll try… one small next step.
Why it works
Writing things down turns vague feelings into information you can use. Over a few weeks, patterns appear: the times of day you have the most energy, the situations that trigger old habits, the wins you might otherwise forget.
Connecting your journal to coaching
In your Journey portal, your coach can read and respond to your entries and connect them to your SMART goals. That means your sessions start from where you really are, not just what you remember on the day.
