On the path to becoming a health and wellness coach

Learning to coach is a lot like learning to swim: you can study the strokes, but at some point you have to get in the water. Real practice with real clients is where knowledge becomes skill.

What coaches in training need

  • Clients to work with, so they can practice their skills
  • Feedback and consulting to keep improving
  • A way to log sessions and reflect on what they learned
  • Encouragement from a community on the same path

Board certification

Many health and wellness coaches pursue board certification through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Requirements include completing an approved training program and documenting coaching practice. Check NBHWC's current handbook for the latest details.

How we help

Phoenix Red Diamond connects coaching students with people looking for low-cost coaching, and offers consulting to help each coach grow. Clients get support they can afford; coaches get the experience they need. Everyone rises.
